Our Story
About Divas In Power
DIVAS In Power is a non-profit organization that focuses on community service, special needs, and the underprivileged. We were founded on September 16, 2016, by our Chairwoman and Founder, Ms. Patrice Ables Vance. If you aspire to give back to your community through volunteer services, please contact us. We serve 15 regions throughout the United States and Worldwide. If you're ready to represent your country as a Diva In Power, please submit a New Member application. Our volunteer activities have included some of the following: Sending the Explosive Dazzle to the World Special Olympics in Seattle Raising funds for Lighthouse Mentoring Center holiday gifts for young adult foster youth Breast cancer activities Work with the homeless and domestic abuse survivor population. We are currently seeking new Divas to help us spread love throughout our local communities and worldwide.
The Beginning
How It All It Began….
Divas In Power was established in September 2016, and was formed as a Consortium of female Independent Travel Agents powered by Evolution Travel. Our grassroots initiative began with the intent to do local community service and support Evolution Travel’s EvoCares and EvoKids programs.
While we still support those programs, we have expanded into a non-profit organization where we can serve communities in a greater capacity.
Evolution Travel’s Founder, David McCovy (middle), is
one of our biggest supporters. He loves helping others and actively serves within his community helping to mentor youth and young adults.
Today our membership spans over 150 members, many of whom are Evolution Travel Agents who enjoy giving back to their communities. As a non-profit organization, we welcome anyone who would like to partner with us in service to our communities.
